Pfc. Herman C. Wilson, age 33, of 303 E. Burwell Avenue, was killed in action in Germany Feb. 22, 1945. He was born in W. Va., but had lived in Knoxville for 15 years. Served as tank driver, Company C, 68th Tank Battalion, 6th Armored Tank Division. Survivors; wife, Mrs. Marie Thacker Wilson, daughter, Edwina Charlene, stepchildren, James A. and Patsy Marie Fields; mother, Mrs. C.A. Wright, all of Knoxville; sister, Mrs. James Wagner, W.Va.
