Henry Venson Soard was born 6 June 1894 to John and Melvina Soard. He entered the service on 20 September 1917 and received his training at Camp Gordon in Atlanta, Georgia. He sailed to Europe May 26, 1918, arriving on June 6. He was killed in action 17 October 1918 at Molain in France.
He is buried at Phelps and Rosenbalm Cemetery, Springdale, Claiborne County, Tennessee.
