Funeral services for Cpl. Harlan L. Bryan, son of Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Bryan of Bluff City, Tenn., who was killed in an airplane crash while in training at March Field, California, will be held at the Bluff City Methodist church. Burial will be in the Morning View Cemetery.
Cpl. Bryan, who was a member of the Bluff City Baptist church, is survived by his parents; three brothers, J.L. and Thurell Bryan of Bluff City of Bluff City, and Pvt. Winston Bryan, serving somewhere in the South Pacific, and one sister, Myrtle June Bryan of Bluff City. One brother, Billy Louis Bryan, died in infancy. Before entering the service, Cpl. Bryan was employed by the Universal Moulded Product Corporation in Bristol. He was in service 18 months and was a turret gunner on a B-24.
