Grover Cleveland Goins was born 9 January 1894 in Marion County, Tennessee. He was married to Minnie Goins. Pvt Goins was assigned to the 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. He died on 4 November 1918 at the age of 24, and is interred at F,5,30 Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery, Romagne, France.
