Funeral for Private Glenn Edwards, which had been originally set for June 10 in Knoxville, will be held Tuesday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church at Washington College Station. Private Edwards was killed October 6, 1944 in France. He entered service June 1, 1942, and trained at Camp Wheeler, Ga., Camp Ayers, Mass., Camp Pickett, Va., and Camp Pine, N.Y. A member of the 180th Infantry, 45th Division, Edwards went overseas in June, 1943. He saw action in Sicily and Italy before entering France. In private life he was a farmer. Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Lula Mae Laws of Limestone; one brother, Herbert Edwards of New York; two half-sisters, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Wolfe of Limestone and Mrs. Marjory Burnette of Nubert; two half-brothers, Ernest Edwards of Sulphur Springs and Carson Edwards of North Carolina.
