Mr. and Mrs. William Henry Laws of Route 1, Shell Creek have received word that the body of their son, T/Sgt. George Edward Laws, age 25, will arrive in Johnson City. Sgt. Laws entered service November 19, 1942 and served with the Third Army in Germany and Belgium. He was killed in action in Germany December 3, 1944. Survivors besides the parents are five brothers, Estil, Eugene, Delmer and Miller Laws all of the home, and Dexter Laws of Shell Creek; four sisters, Mrs. Edith Odom and Mrs. Alberta Winters of Shell Creek, Opal Laws of Elk Park, N.C. and Virgie Laws of the home.
