George Arthur Ogle volunteered his services to the U.S. Army in May 1917. As a member of Headquarters Company, 17th Infantry, was stationed at Fort Oglethorpe, GA. Corporal Ogle was accidentally killed in an army truck wreck, in the line of duty, November 4, 1917.
Corporal Ogle was returned home to Knoxville and is buried at Woodlawn Cemetery.
