Private Francis L. Allen, #14005185 US Army, enlisted on the 12th of July 1940 at Fort Jackson, Columbia, South Carolina. He was assigned to Company G, 3rd Battalion, 504th Parachute Regiment, of the 82nd Airborne Division. At the time of his death the Division was fighting from Belgium across the German border.
He was injured on the 29th of January 1945 and died the next day on the 30th of January 1945. He is interred at C,15,23, Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery, Belgium. His grave has been adopted by Bruno Pollet, 41 Carrière Desmettre, 7712 Herseaux, Belgium. The photos below are from his private collection.
