Private First Class Everett Wilson Johnson, Jr. was born on July 16, 1947, and was originally from Harriman, Tennessee. He served his country in the Vietnam War in the United States Army, as an indirect fire infantryman in B Troop, 3rd Squadron, 4th Cavalry, 25th Infantry Division. His tour in Vietnam began on December 17, 1967. On January 31, 1968, PFC Johnson was killed under hostile conditions in Gia Dinh province, South Vietnam; he was 20 years old at the time of his death. PFC Johnson is buried at Roane Gardens Memorial Cemetery in Rockwood, Tennessee, and is memorialized on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial on Panel 36E, Line 18.
