Eric Willis Warming was born in Jellico, Tennessee, to son of Emil Andreas Warming and Glady Barry Claxton. Eric Warming graduated at the Jellico High school in 1942 and was vice president of the Class, a swell as Cartoonist of the Staff of the Blue and White, a school paper. He attended Berea College one year.
He had served with theFifth Army in Italy 14 months and was erroneously reported missing in action twice in the few months before he was decleared killed in action.

He is buried at Jellico Cemetery, Campbell County, Tennessee.
