Pvt. Emmit L. Bolins was inducted into the Army in January, 1943. He was sent overseas in May, 1944. He was killed in action in France on July 30, 1944. Emmit was born and reared in Cumberland County. Survivors are his wife, Mary Leruma Scarbrough Bolin; his father Dell Bolin, two sisters and two grandmothers. He is the son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Scarbrough
