Elmer Odeal Jones was the son of Charley Jones.
PFC Jones served in General Patton’s 3rd Army. He went missing in action during the Battle of the Bulge in 12 December 1944.
He is Memorialized at Lorraine American Cemetery, St. Avold, France.

Mr. and Mrs. Charley Jones of the Hamilton community received a telegram dated Dec. 28, that their son, Pfc. Elmer O. Jones, had been missing in action in Germany since December 12. No other information was given. Pfc. Jones was with an Infantry unit in the 90th Division and was with the 3rd Army when his last letter was written, dated Dec. 5. He had been in service since Oct. 13, 1943, and had been overseas since last June.
