Edward Franklin Blanset was born on 4 March 1922, the son of Arthur Scott Blansett and Martha Daisy Dawson. His brother William Taylor Blansett was killed in Italy in 1943. Pfc. Blanset was killed in action on 8 April 1945 at Okinawa, Japan
