Funeral services for Cpl. Edward Everett Hildebrand, son of Mr. and Mrs. L.A. Hildebrand of Delhi, will be held at the Delhi Baptist Church. He was killed in the invasion of Sicily, August 6, 1943.
Everett was born February 28, 1921 at Delhi and attended the Delhi public schools. He was graduated from the Delhi High School in 1940. He was employed fors ome time in a textile mill in Chattanooga, Tenn., before enlisting in the Army. He enlisted on August 29, 1942.
He was a member of the Delhi Baptist church. Everett was married to Ruth Duebber in 1942. Survivors include his parents; one son, Everett Jr., of Borger, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. J.L. Barnes, Chattanooga, Tenn.; Mrs. Oele Fors, Sayre, Miss Nell Hildebrand of Delhi; one brother, Fred, of Delhi.
