Douglas Edgar Johnson was the son of Charlie E. Johnson and Mandy Bowlin. He was born in Hancock County, Tennessee and resided in Kyles Ford at the time of his enlistment. He entered the service on 12 August 1943 at Fort Oglethorpe in Georgia.
He is memorialized at Ardennes American Cemetery, Neupre, Belgium.
