David Marvin Williams was the son of Paul Williams and Gertie Stonecipher.
Private Williams enlisted on 10 June 1943 at Fort Oglethorpe in Georgia. He was killed in action in France and was buried in Indiana in 1949.

Funeral services for Pvt. David M. Williams, 20, of 912 East Willard street, who was killed in France on August 17, 1944, will be conducted at the Piepho funeral home. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery where the American Legion will be in charge of graveside services. Pvt. Williams was born in Fenters County, Tennessee. Surviving are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Williams; five sisters, Mrs. Ray Jennings, Mrs. Irene Beller, Mrs. Lorene Larry, Miss Marveline Williams and a brother, Ray, all of Muncie.
