Daniel S. Haire was borne in Greene County, Tennessee to Rufus D. and Martha E. Haire. He was married to Nona Elizabeth Haire. He entered the service on 20 September 1917 at Greeneville and trained at Camp Gordon in Georgia. He died of pneumonia in France at the age of 23.
