Dan or Daniel Ratliff Hamilton was born in Church Hill, Tennessee. He was the son of Edward Brandon Hamilton and Corena Brown.
He died at the age of 24 at the Base Hospital at Camp Wadsworth, Spartanburg, South Carolina of Broncho Pneumonia. He served with the 5th P.I. Company E.
