Corporal Dallas Polk Ewton was born 23 January 1896 in Dunlap, Tennessee to Lewis Lafayette Ewton and Francis Elvira Minton. He served in the 328th Infantry Regiment, 82nd Division. He was killed in action on 8 October 1918 at the age of 22. He is interred at E,32,27 Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery, Romagne, France.
