Cordell Wilmoth was born on 29 October 1919 in Cookeville, Tennessee, the son of Jube Collins Wilmoth and Rachel Alma Petty. He was married to Clara Mae Upchurch and father of Clodean Wilmoth and Opal Wilmoth.
He was Killed in Action 7 August 1944
