Funeral services for Pfc. Cordell Partin, 19, who was killed on Okinawa June 8, 1945, were held at his home with Rev. James Longsworth and Rev. Paul Grubbs officiating. Burial was in Pruden-Fonde cemetery. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Partin; brother Willie and sisters, Mrs. Lillie Mae Beeler of Knoxville, Mrs. Mary Daugherty, Melva, Barbara Jean, Charlene, Geneva, Shirley Ann, Nancy Sue and Lila Partin of Middlesboro and grandfather, Paris Mullins of Virginia.
