Clyde Raymond Wishon was born on 31 December 1918 in Johnson City, Tennessee, the son of Charles Wishon and Nannie Overstreet. He married Gladys Christine Ledford and the couple had one daughter, Linda Carol Wishon who was born on 24 June 1943.
