Clyde Emmett Ashworth was the son of Lonza Silas “L.S.” Ashworth and Grace Lorane Evans. He was married to Aileen Frye. Their son, Richard Keith was born in October, 1944, while Sgt. Ashworth was in England. Sgt, Ashworth volunteered for service in June, 1940 and received training at Camp Blanding, Fla. He had a brother, Cpl. Eckle Ashworth who served during World War II and received the Silver Star Mdal for service with the First Army in Germany. He died in France
