Sgt Ogle died in Dyer County, Tennessee of injuries caused by a plane crash.

Claude L. Ogle, 22, 920 N. 4th Avenue, was killed January 24th as a result of an airplane crash while participating in routine combat training flight near Dyersburg, Tenn. He was formerly employed by Knoxville Transit Lines before his enlistment, December 27, 1941. He attended Stair Tech. High School and was a flight engineer on B-17.
Survivors: parents, Mr. and Mrs. William M. Ogle, Knoxville; daughter Maca Ann Ogle, Knoxville; grandmohter Mrs. G.P. Reagan, Gatlinburg, Tenn. Body will be returned to Knoxville for funeral and interment. Rose in charge.
