Claude L. Harmon also spelled Claud in State records was born in 1898 in Meigs County, Tennessee. Son of Martha Anna Harmon. He enlisted at Fort Oglethorpe in Georgia on 10 January 1918. Pvt Harmon died of pneumonia on 20 October 1918 at the age of 21. He was first buried at the American Cemetery 38, Valdahon, Doubs, France, Grave 184. He is now buried at the Chattanooga National Cemetery, Site S, Grave 14021
