Clarence William Walker was born in Tennessee in 1924, the son of Chester Walker and Bessie Elizabeth Nidiffer.

Pfc. Clarence W. Walker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Walker of Elizabethton, route 4, Gap Creek section, was killed in the Mediterranea area. Private Walker, who is 20 years old, had been listed missing in Italy since January 22 of this year. A brothers, Pvt. Roy Lester Walker, also is in the Army overseas.

Clarence Walker was initially buried at Marzanello Nuovo Cemetery at Marzanello Nuovo, Italy and reburied at Sicily-Rome American Cemetery, Nettuno, Italy, G, 11, 42
