Charles Virgil Sharp was born on 23 September 1924, the son of Archie McDonald Sharp and and Helen Lowe.
Served with the 32rd Ranger Battalion. He was killed near Cisterna, Italy on 30 January 1944. He is buried at Riverview Cemetery, Smoky Junction, Scott County, Tennessee.

Pvt. Charles V. Sharp, 19, was killed in action at Cisterna, Italy while serving with the Third Ranger Battalion of the United States Army. The boyd arrived at LaFollette and will remain at the Minton Sharp Funeral Home and then taken to the home of his parents. Survivors: parents, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Sharp of LaFollette; brothers, Keith and Chesla; sister, Theda, all of LaFollette.
