Charles Edward Eubanks was born 17 June 1898 to Joseph S. Eubanks and Venie Lucinda Norwood. He entered the service in 1918 and again in 1937. He died non battle on 21 October 1943

Charles Edward Eubanks, 46, chief gunners mate in service since 1918, died Wednesday in a Naval Hospital in Pensacola, Fla. Survivors: parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Eubanks, Cedar Bluff; brothers, Sam of California, Walter of Knoxville and Charles of Byington; sisters, Mrs. Lillie Green, Mrs. Carl Henderlight, Mrs. Lee Branson and Mrs. Edward Horner; grandfather, W.S. Norwood. The body will be brought to Knoxville for funeral services.
