Pvt. Charles Valentine, son of Mr. and Mrs. W.L. Valentine, Middlebrook Pike, was killed in France, Dec. 22, the War Department has notified his family. Pvt. Valentine had been in service about two and one-half years, and overseas 16 months. Before going into the Army, he attended Karns High School. A brother, Cpl. Walter Valentine, is now hospitalized in England, recovering from wounds received in Germany Nov. 30.
