The body of Pvt. Carroll B. Tilson will arrive Saturday morning on the Tennessean in Johnson City, and will be brought to the home of his father, Ebb Tilson, R 2, Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. for reburial. Funeral services will be held at Clearbranch Baptist Church. Interment will be made in the family cemetery nearby. Full military honors will be accorded by the funeral detail of Unaka Post 25, American Legion. Pvt. Tilson, born August 25, 1925, was inducted into the Army November 21, 1943. He took six months basic training at Camp Wheeler, Ga., was sent overseas May 26, 1944, and entering the Italian campaign was wounded September 14, 1944 and died two days later. He is the son of Mr. Ebb Tilson and the late Mrs. Tilson. Other survivors include three brothers, Dee, Ralph and Clifford Tilson; one sister, Mrs. Mattie Hensley, all of R. 2, Erwin.
