Sergeant First Class Devore died at the American Military Mission with the Imperial Iranian Army (Armish-MAAG) Hospital in Tehran, Iran. He died due to myocardial infarction.

Services for Army Sgt. 1C Carl C. DeVore, formerly of Walnut, Miss., will be at the Memphis Funeral Home on Union with burial tomorrow in National Cemetery in Chattanooga.
Sergeant DeVore, who was 45, died Nov. 21 in Tehran, Iran, where he was stationed. He had served with the Army 22 years, including duty in World War II, the Korean War and Vietnam. He leaves his wife, Mrs. DeLoise June DeVore of Chattanooga; his mother, Mrs. C.L. DeVore of Walnut; two sisters, Mrs. J.Z. Dollar of Walnut and Mrs. Laura D. Crawley of Mt. Pleasant, Miss., and five brothers, Johnnie DeVore and William Karr DeVore both of Collierville, Tenn., Bobby DeVore of Walnut, and Luke DeVore and James DeVore, both of Mt. Pleasant.
