Garnett Buford Cooper was born in Alabama to Riley Herbert Cooper and Margaret Elizabeth Long. He married Lona Lee Lewis on 7 December 1941 at Dade, Georgia. Pvt Cooper entered the service on 7 December 1942, at Fort Oglethorpe in Georgia. He died in Denver, Colorado on June 25th.
