Bruce Johnson was the son of James Alexander Johnson and Minnie Marylee Furchess.
He was killed in action on July 31, 1944 in France and was initially buried at La Cambe Cemetery at Isigny, France. He was reburied at Normandy American Cemetery, Colleville-sur-Mer, France, F, 11, 3.
His younger brother, James C. Johnson, also served in WW2 and was imprisoned as a POW in Stalag 3B , which was liberated in 1945.
