Bobby Eugene Cloud was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, the son of Herman Luther Cloud and Edith Beeler.
He died at sea off Okinawa

Robert (Bobby) Eugene Cloud, seaman second class, 17-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Harman Cloud, 236 West Vermont Avenue, was killed in action during a naval engagement near Okinawa, June 5, his parents have been informed by the Navy Department. Seaman Cloud, a former student of Stair Technical School in the city, had been in the U.S. Navy eight months. He received his training at Great Lake Navy Training School. The body was buried at Isa Okinawa June 6. Survivors are the parents and a sister, Miss Katherine Cloud of Knoxville.
