Berney Heiskel McCoy was born 5 October 1908, Union County, Tennessee, the son of Rufis McCoy and Rhoda Hutchinson.
He enlisted on November 9, 1942, in Fort Oglethorpe, GA and served with the 113th Infantry, Company K.
Pfc McCoy Died non Battle on 30 December 1943, Knoxville at Knoxville General Hospital at Knoxville, Knox County, Tennessee of ruptured peptic ulcers with peritonitis. Buried at Ridenour Cemetery, Andersonville, TN
