Airman Second Class Arthur Eugene Norman was born on March 21, 1944, and was originally from Chattanooga, Tennessee. He served his country in the Vietnam War in the United States Air Force in 605th Tactical Control Squadron, 6250th Tactical Control Group, 13th Air Force. He was a two-year veteran of the Air Force when his tour began in Vietnam. On January 16, 1965, A2C Norman was killed under non-hostile conditions in Gia Dinh province, South Vietnam; he was 20 at the time of his death. A2C Norman is buried at Chattanooga National Cemetery in Chattanooga, Tennessee and is memorialized on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial on Panel 01E, Line 82.
