Allison Alfred Arrowood was born on 14 November 1923 in Baltimore,  Maryland, the son of Daniel Andrew Arrowood and Frances May Wayson.
He Died of wounds 28 November 1944 at Okinawa, Japan

Funeral for Pvt. Allison A. Arrowood, 22,  whose body arrived here August 27, was conducted at Silver Chapel at Crabtree. Burial was in the Arrowood Cemetery.
Pvt. Arrowood entered the service in 1938. He was discharged in March 1941, re-enlisting the same year. He received his basic training at Fort Meade, Md., and Tallahassee, Fla. Arrowood was wounded in action in October 11, 1944, while serving on the Philippine Islands. He died November 24, 1944.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Frances M. Arrowood, Baltimore, Md.; three sisters, Mrs. Mike Stevens, Roan Mountain; Miss Ruth Moore, Baltimore, Md.; and Mrs. Vivian Riley of Roanoke, Va.; two brothers, Sgt. Harry Arrowood, of the U.S. Army Air Force and  John Arrowood of Baltimore, Md; one half brother, Chief Petty Officer George Edwards, of the U.S. Navy of Porto Rico.
