The body of Pvt. Allen A. Murr will arrive at Greenback from Atlanta . This will be the return of Greenback’s first war dead. Private Murr was a graduate of Greenback high school and was killed in service on Saipan July 12, 1944. Greenback ex-service men will serve as pallbearers and the Veterans of Foreign wars will have a part in the funeral services. The body will be taken to the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Murr, and funeral services will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at Trigonia.
