Memorial services for Pvt. Alfred L. Meadows, 37, killed in action Sept. 25 in France, will be held at Immanuel Street Baptist Church. He was the husband of Mrs. Viola Meadows, 121 Street, and the son of Lemuel L. Meadows, Cumberland, Va. Pvt. Meadows entered the Army a year ago and had been overseas six months when killed, He had served in the Army before outbreak of the war, and was in the Army Reserve when recalled to duty.
