Albert Bennett was born at Relief in North Carolina, the son of Moses “Mose” Bennett and Ellie Hughes and husband of Elberta Johnson.
He was severe wounded during a motor vehicle accident at the Army Air Base at Kingman, Mohave County in Arizona and died at the Station Hospital, KAAF at Kingman, Arizona.

Funeral services for Cpl. Albert Bennett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mose Bennett of Watauga road, who died last Sunday as the result of injuries received in a truck accident at the Kingman, Ariz., Army Air Field, will be held today at the Rock Creek Church of God, Erwin, Route 1, following a brief prayer service at the resident. The 21-year-old corporal is survived by his widow, Mrs. Elberta Bennett, who is making her home with her parents in Erwin; his parents; two sisters, Misses Ada and Annie Bennett of Watauga road; and a brother, Staff Sergeant Pete Bennett of Chicago, Ill., who recently returned to America from the European area, where he served 22 months as a radio operator on a C-47 plane. Bennett was formerly a resident of Pigeon Roost, N.C.
